'A Curious New Result In Switching Theory' was written in 1989. At that time I was an electronics engineer working for the university of Nijmegen (now known as Radboud university). The article was published in The Mathematical Intelligencer in 1990. To my satisfaction, the front cover carried  the colour photo on page 12. The article can be found here.
